CNC Machinist

Salary: £9.00 – £11.00 per hour dependant on experience
Benefits: 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm, 40 hour week – additional & weekend hours are often available
Location: Aston Down Business Park, Stroud
Duration: Permanent

An exciting opportunity to join a young, friendly, successful and ambitious manufacturing company in Aston Down Business Park. The CNC machinist role offers an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of the team on a temporary to potentially permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

The role will involve a number of tasks fundamental in the manufacturing of wooden products

Set and operate CNC router and other machines
Quality checking own work
Troubleshoot and make adjustments
General operating maintenance

All staff members are expected to take collective responsibility in ensuring a safe and clean workplace

The candidate:

Ideally the successful candidate will have CNC machinist experience although training can be provided for a competent candidate. CAD/CAM, NC Studio or other similar packages are also beneficial and strong numeracy skills are a must. It is essential to have experience in a woodworking environment.
