Paint sprayer / Spray painter
Salary: £9.00 – £11.00 per hour dependant on experience
Benefits: 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm, 40 hr/wk. – additional & weekend hours are often available
Location: Aston Down Business Park, Stroud
Duration: Permanent
The Role:
An exciting opportunity to join a young, friendly, successful and ambitious manufacturing company in Aston Down Business Park. The paint sprayer / spray painter role offers an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of the team on a potentially permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
The role will involve a number of tasks fundamental in the finishing process of wooden products of varying shapes & sizes:
- Prepping product for finishing
- Spray painting/ spray lacquering
- Oiling
- Dipping/ staining
You will also have responsibility for the cleaning of your equipment and general cleanliness & organisation of the spraying department.
Application Process:
The interview will involve meeting with the production director and other members of the team.
There will also be a Practical Assessment using the tools involved demonstrating your abilities.
The candidate:
The successful candidate will require a track record of using spray guns and paint spraying equipment and may have skills with different types of paint spraying techniques – ideally in a wood-based environment.
Ideally the paint sprayer / spray painter could have City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualifications although this is not essential and previous on the job training would be sufficient.
Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable but not essential.
